  • [VIDEO] Live personalized calligraphy on Uchiwa at Minamoto Kitchoan SF

Thank you everyone for coming to my event at Minamoto Kitchoan San Francisco last Friday! It was very short amount of time, but I had fun meeting and talking with you all. I also enjoyed the warm tea and new delicious sweets from the store – made me feel like I was in Japan.
Minamoto Kitchoan made this awesome video of the event – I’d love to share this with you! Hope we can do another event like this again in the future.

  • [UPCOMING & VIDEO] Calligraphy x audio visual performance @ VOLT: Festival for Electronic Music, Sweden

Aoi Yamaguchi & Joel Dittrich: Prep Shooting for live visual performance w/ Ben Klock at VOLT 2011 from Aoi Yamaguchi on Vimeo.

(Timetable):

  • [VIDEO] "A Moment with: Aoi Yamaguchi" by AboutHerFilms

A Moment With: Aoi Yamaguchi from About Her Films on Vimeo.

    このビデオはHipHopIsCoolAgain.comにもフィーチャーされました!

    *

AboutHerFilms made a really nice video piece on my performance with Bay Area house dancers at TOGETHER in Oakland, back in February.  I love the facial expressions of Soul Nubian, Ten, Amy and Moca when I’m painting on them! Moca flew all the way from Hawaii for this show. In the video, I explain my inspiration and passion for calligraphy in the interview.  The video is feaured in HipHopIsCoolAgain.com!

Special thanks & big hug to Melinda James of AboutHerFilms.
